Richards, who has been with the ODC since 2008, has completed his Food Safety Training and Food Handler Certification – both courses paid by his employer.
“I feel like I have a step up now that I have this training,” said Richards. “I am hopeful there will be a promotion in the future, but I am very proud to have had the chance to be certified.”
Richard is responsible for setting up tables, serving lunches to the seniors and meals on wheels, collecting leftovers to be frozen and meal cleanup.
Richards is set to complete another training in the next two months in Safe Serve Practices.
