Warmly welcoming Rinna Waters to the ODC family!
We are delighted to announce Rinna Waters as our new Program Specialist in Grand Rapids (located at 401 SE 11th Street).
Waters brings to ODC over 25 years of experience working with people with disabilities and older individuals and is a professionally credentialed gerontologist. In addition, she has extensive experience directing, managing and seeking funding for various programs, and has a close familiarity with the nonprofit world.
“I am very excited for this opportunity to work with people with disabilities and aging individuals to increase the possibility of securing the skills and employment needed to increase independence and self efficacy,” said Waters. “As the daughter of a woman with cerebral palsy, I have spent a lifetime dedicated to serving people with disabilities to believe in themselves and live the life they choose.”
“We are very much looking forward to working with Rinna and appreciate the wealth of experience and resources she adds to our diverse organization,” said Tori Peterson, Vice President of Programs. “Her compassion and dedication to the needs of the people we serve is inspiring and will be a great benefit to the Grand Rapids community.”
Waters, who makes her home in Pengilly, will be starting her new position Monday, May 6. Through this position she hopes to continue strengthening relationships with community professionals and stakeholders, and seeks to further the organization through resources, innovation and community relationships while upholding ODC’s mission.
Welcome to the team, Rinna!
