Job Description:
The Plant Manager is a hands-on, mission-driven leader responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations while fostering a safe, inclusive, and productive work environment. Working closely with the President/CEO, this role balances operational excellence with people-centered leadership.
Schedule: Full-time, Salaried
What You’ll Do:
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, including production
planning, workflow, quality, inventory, and on-time delivery - Develop, support, and motivate a diverse workforce, including
individuals with disabilities - Ensure high levels of customer service and timely issue resolution
- Partner with Finance to manage budgets, contracts, and operational
performance - Lead plant safety programs, preventive maintenance, and continuous
improvement efforts - Maintain facilities, equipment, and production areas to safety and quality
standards
Experience Required:
Experience in manufacturing, production management, or operations leadership. Familiarity with purchasing, bidding, manufacturing processes, equipment installation and troubleshooting, and records management.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, business, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education.
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective computer, interpersonal, communication and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to pass Mandatory MN Department of Human Services Study.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license that is in good standing and insurable under ODC’s vehicle insurance.
