Kicking off the giving season to raise funds and awareness for inclusive workplaces
We are happy to announce we are partnering with nonprofit organization GiveMN to participate in Give to the Max Day, Minnesota’s homegrown giving holiday, on Thursday, Nov. 14.
The annual 24-hour online fundraiser, now in its 11th year, has raised more than $170 million for more than 10,000 Minnesota-based causes. Donors can visit GiveMN.org to find a cause they care about, and donate anytime from November 1 to 14.
At ODC, we believe everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves. Your gift, whether given through participating in Give to the Max Day or at any time during the year via our website, goes toward providing high-quality training resources for our dedicated support professionals, updating and renovating our facilities to better benefit our communities, and supporting the greater mission of creating pathways to increased independence for the people we serve daily.
Joining forces with GiveMN, we commend their efforts to help connect community members with causes and organizations they are passionate about—working to make Minnesota a better place. Its online giving website, GiveMN.org, enables charitable giving any time and any place, allowing people to donate with ease and enthusiasm.
“We see the generosity of Minnesotans year-round, but it is always amazing to see our neighbors come together on Give to the Max Day,” said Jake Blumberg, executive director of GiveMN. “Each year, we are amazed to hear stories about how every dollar, whether it be $10 or $10,000, makes a real impact to so many communities across our state.”
GiveMN is an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that brings innovation, energy and fresh ideas to Minnesota generosity. ODC is a nonprofit social enterprise that has been providing employment skills and support for individuals with disabilities for nearly 50 years.
